PREGNANCY

Supportive care focused on function and strength during pregnancy.

Pregnancy involves significant musculoskeletal and physiologic adaptations that can influence pelvic floor function and overall movement patterns. At HerCore, we provide individualized pelvic floor and orthopedic care to address pregnancy-related symptoms while supporting the body’s natural adaptations throughout gestation. Our approach emphasizes optimizing movement strategies, maintaining functional capacity, and preparing the pelvic floor and surrounding systems for the demands of labor and delivery.

CONDITIONS WE TREAT

Supporting Movement and Function Through Every Trimester

Pubic Symphysis Dysfunction

Pain resulting from excessive strain, irritation, or instability of the joint and surrounding ligaments, most commonly occurring during pregnancy

Sacroiliac Joint Pain

Pain near low back and buttocks that is commonly associated with changes in load transfer, movement strategies, and ligamentous laxity as the body adapts to the mechanical demands of pregnancy.

Hip/Knee/Ankle Pain

Pain or tightness that can occur as the body adapts to changes in weight distribution, joint loading, and movement patterns throughout pregnancy.

Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar Pain

Neck, upper/mid and low back pain that can develop as the body adapts to changes in posture, load, and movement as pregnancy progresses.

Pelvic Heaviness

Sensation of pressure or fullness in the vagina that can occur when the pelvic floor and surrounding support structures are experiencing increased load, often during pregnancy.

Pain With Penetration

Discomfort or pain experienced with vaginal penetration that can occur when the pelvic floor muscles and surrounding tissues are sensitive, overactive, or unable to relax and accommodate penetration.

Incontinence

Involuntary leakage of urine, stool or gas when the pelvic floor and bladder/rectal support systems are unable to fully manage increases in intra-abdominal pressure during activities such as coughing, sneezing, or exercise.
